Give me your heart

Lord,
around me, so many persons suffer:
persons who are alone,
who have no visitors
at the hospital or nursing home,
persons who are outcasts
pointed at
when released from prison
or from a shelter,
persons who no longer have
parents or spouse,
and so many others.

Give me a piece of your heart
that I may love them,
that they may find again through
my gestures and my affection,
the person they miss so much
to help them live fully.
