Saint Joseph... faithful spouse of Mary

After sharing so sincerely with Mary, what suffering you must have felt when Mary revealed to you the mystery of the coming of her child; when for many days, you thought only of giving her back her freedom so that she might accomplish, without you, her motherly mission…

But what joys were yours when, through your prayer, you grasped that the will of God was for you to take Mary as your wife again, so that together, you would welcome God himself in the unborn child entrusted to your care.
