Mokhotlong (St. Joseph's Convent)

1985-

GEOGRAPHICAL LOCATION
The regional house (head-office of the Sisters of Saint Joseph in Lesotho) is around 300 metres from the St. Peter's mission, as one heads towards the mountains. St. Joseph's is built on a rise and overlooks all the other buildings in Mokhotlong Camp.

FOUNDING
The sisters of the region were in need of a place for their administration office and of a residence where their elderly sisters would reside. The government of Lesotho turned a piece of land over to them and the construction of the building which would serve these two purposes was started in October 1982. The building was completed in 1985.
