GEOGRAPHICAL LOCATION
The city of São Francisco is situated in the suburbs of São Luis, capital of the State of Maranhão.

FOUNDING
In November 1966, Father Gérard Dumont, superior of the mission of Saint Hyacinthe in Brazil, asked the Sisters of Saint Joseph of Saint Haycinthe to take charge of the new college and to teach the rudiments of science.
