Young people

Lord, we pray for young people
In whom we put our trust.

May the new strength with which you endow them
Serve to make the world a better place.

May their wish to build a more fraternal society
Become a reality.

May their generosity never wane
And their ideal remain intact in spite of deceptions.

May all of them respond to your call
And follow the pathway you lay out for each of them.

May their youthfulness lean on
The youth of your Word.

May their vigour and their enthusiasm
Cause hope to rebound
And contribute to perk up those who are without courage.

May they keep the will
To give and to serve
Thus avoiding all form of selfishness.

May their thirst for love never be quenched,
And may their heart be ever more open
To their brothers and sisters as it is to you.
