GEOGRAPHICAL LOCATION
Rougemont is situated on the mountain by the same name. The surrounding parishes are: St. Angela of Monnoir, Marieville, St. Cesaire, St. Jean Baptist and St. Damase.

FOUNDING OF THE CONVENT
Father Arsène Nadeau, parish priest, with the agreement of the school board, asked Sister St. Maxime (Marie-Louise Bouvier), superior general, to provide sisters for the town school. His request was granted.
On Sunday, April 29, 1925, the first stone of the new school was laid and blessed. This town school was built by Mr. Adélard Paquette of St. Hugues.

DEPARTURE
In July 1990, the Sisters left the parish after working there for 64 years.
